Victory View, Pendeen

This bespoke kitchen was built for a new build home at Victory View in Pendeen, mixing two door finishes within one 50mm stile shaker profile: a matt painted run in Farrow & Ball's De Nimes Blue alongside a run of lacquered sapele, both sharing the same clean, square edge detail.

As with every kitchen we design and build, the doors are hand made rather than bought in. The sapele brings a warm, reddish grain to balance the cool, muted blue of the De Nimes doors, with a breakfast bar back panel and two floating sapele shelves continuing the timber through the room, alongside matching end panels and a plinth at the base of the units.

Cabinet carcasses are built in Egger's Light Winchester Oak, with Blum Onyx soft close hinges and Blum LegraBox soft close drawers throughout. At the sink, a Blanco Subline undermount sink in white is paired with an Abode Pico Quad tap in brushed brass.

The result is a considered shaker kitchen built around genuine material contrast, De Nimes Blue against warm sapele, in a family home built new from the ground up.

Doors & Panels:
Mix of matt painted and lacquered shaker doors, 50mm stile width, square edge. Painted doors in Farrow & Ball De Nimes Blue. Veneered doors and panels in sapele, 3% sheen lacquer. Breakfast bar back panel, two floating sapele shelves, sapele end panel and plinth.

Cabinetry & Hardware:
Egger 18mm MFC in Light Winchester Oak, 2mm PVC lipped edges. Blum Onyx soft close hinges, Blum LegraBox soft close drawers, leg upgrade. Handles not yet finalised.

Worktop:
PG1 Quartz, 20mm, available in five styles, colour not yet selected at quote stage.

Sink & Tap:
Blanco SilGranit undermount sink, Subline 400-U, white. Abode Pico Quad tap, brushed brass.
