Richmond, Carbis Bay

This bespoke kitchen in Carbis Bay pairs two finishes across one run: a warm, muted painted door on one side, and pale limed oak on the other, both sharing the same slim 20mm stile shaker profile so the two materials read as one considered scheme rather than two different kitchens pushed together.

As with every kitchen we design and build, the doors are hand made rather than bought in. The painted run is finished in Coat Paints' Pudding, a soft, warm neutral, sprayed to a matt lacquer, while the limed oak doors keep the timber's natural grain visible beneath a pale, washed finish.

Every handle throughout is Furnipart's Ciel in matt brass, a single consistent detail tying both finishes together across the whole kitchen. Cabinet carcasses are built in Egger's Cashmere Grey, with Blum Onyx soft close hinges and Blum LegraBox soft close drawers in Lava Grey throughout, and full width limed oak shelving running above the sink and peninsula.

The worktop is Duke Stone's Polpeor, a quartz surface named for the cove near Lizard Point, 20mm thick with an 80mm upstand run throughout the kitchen. At the sink, a Blanco Subline sink in off white is paired with an Abode swan neck tap in matt brass with a pull out hose, echoing the same warm metal used on every handle in the room. The result is a kitchen built on genuine contrast, warm paint against pale limed oak, tied together by consistent brass hardware and a worktop named for the Cornish coast itself.

Doors & Panels:
Mix of two finishes, both 22mm, 20mm stile slim shaker profile. Smooth matt painted doors in Coat Paints Pudding. Limed oak doors and panels, natural grain visible beneath a pale limed finish. Handles: Furnipart Ciel, matt brass, throughout.

Cabinetry & Hardware:
Egger 18mm MFC in Cashmere Grey, 2mm colour matched ABS edging, 150mm plinth, 2200mm tall units. Blum Onyx soft close hinges, Blum LegraBox soft close drawers in Lava Grey, foot upgrade. Full width limed oak shelving above sink and peninsula. Integrated wine fridge housing.

Worktop:
Duke Stone Polpeor quartz, 20mm, 80mm upstand throughout (final colour selection marked TBC at quote stage, worth confirming).

Sink & Tap:
Blanco Subline 500-U undermount sink, off white, single bowl. Abode swan neck tap, matt brass, pull out hose.
