Quooker has launched Flex 2.0, introducing Flex Square, the first square profiled boiling water tap with a pull out hose, alongside a new patinated brass finish across the Flex range. It was shown publicly for the first time at KBB Birmingham in March 2026 and is priced in line with the existing Flex Round.

Quooker has been the name behind boiling water taps since the idea first existed, and this year's update to its bestselling Flex model is the first genuinely new shape the range has seen in some time.

What is new

Flex 2.0 introduces Flex Square, a square profiled version of the existing pull out Flex tap, and the first square design with a pull out hose that Quooker has made. It sits alongside a new patinated brass finish across the whole Flex range, a warm, living finish that is designed to develop character as it ages rather than staying uniform. Both were shown publicly for the first time at KBB Birmingham in March 2026, and Flex 2.0 is priced in line with the existing Flex Round, so it is a straightforward alternative rather than a step up in cost.

Everything that makes the original Flex popular carries over. It is a single tap for boiling, hot and cold water, with the pull out hose giving the extra reach that makes it genuinely useful for filling pans or rinsing rather than just a feature. Add the optional CUBE unit and the same tap will also give filtered chilled and sparkling water, so one fitting on the worktop does the work of what used to need three or four separate taps.

Why the shape matters more than it sounds

A round tap has been the default for boiling water taps since the category existed, largely because that was simply the shape the original design took. Flex Square is aimed squarely (no apology for the pun) at the more architectural kitchens we described in our trends piece this year: square edged islands, slimmer shaker doors, a generally more linear look overall. For a kitchen built around straight lines and cleaner geometry, a round tap can look slightly at odds with everything around it. Flex Square is the first time that detail has had an obvious answer.

Where this fits in a Meadows kitchen
