Frequently Asked Questions

The word has different meanings for different companies, with many so called bespoke companies still using standard sizes and carcasses. To us, bespoke means hand made to a design that is unique to you, without being restricted to standard sizes. The result of a truly bespoke service is that space is used far more efficiently, and almost anything is possible. Have a look through our Projects to see what this looks like in practice.

In many instances, no. Our bespoke kitchens do not necessarily cost more than a standard kitchen from a mainstream supplier. Cost tends to rise only once you move into highly detailed, hand made work, such as running grain real wood veneered frontals. These are genuinely stunning and quite unusual, but they are the exception rather than the rule, not the starting point.

We are based in Newlyn, Cornwall, with our showroom at 3 Chywoone Hill, TR18 5HQ. Most of our work is across Cornwall, but we have completed projects further afield too, including London and the South East. If your project is outside Cornwall, get in touch and we can talk through whether it is a good fit.

The best first step is to get in touch through our Contact page or by calling 01736 780333, with as much information about your project as you can share, including any architect plans, inspiration photos or Pinterest boards. From there we will arrange an initial conversation to understand your space and how you want to live in it.

Every project is different, but as a general guide, design and planning typically takes several weeks, manufacture takes a number of weeks once the design is finalised, and installation is scheduled around your home and any building work involved. We will always give you a realistic timeline specific to your project once we understand the scope, rather than a generic figure that does not hold up in practice.

Our love for the natural environment that surrounds us here in Cornwall has shaped how we think about sustainable kitchen design and installation, from the materials we specify to how we approach a build. You can read more on our Sustainability page.

We design and make kitchens, but we also work on bedrooms, utility rooms, boot rooms, staircases and other bespoke joinery, either as part of a kitchen project or as standalone work. If you are planning work across more than one room, it is worth mentioning at your first enquiry so we can plan the project as a whole.
