Rosewin Row, Truro

This bespoke kitchen on Rosewin Row, Truro was built around a deep, considered colour: Farrow & Ball's Green Smoke, paired with a genuine oak dresser unit that anchors the whole room.

Each is a solid ash shaker door with an 80mm frame and beading to the internal panel, painted in Green Smoke to a matt finish, with tongue and groove detailing on every visible end panel. A cornice runs the full height of the wall and tall units, projecting 45mm out and up from the wall for a genuinely traditional profile, and every handle throughout is a Trafalgar cup and knob in brushed brass.

Cabinet carcasses are built in Egger's Light Winchester Oak, with Blum Onyx soft close hinges and Blum LegraBox soft close drawers in Lava Grey throughout. The dresser unit breaks from the rest of the kitchen entirely, built in oak veneer with a reeded glass door and its own switched interior lighting, giving the room a genuine piece of furniture rather than another run of painted units.

The worktop is Duke Stone's Lamorna quartz, 20mm thick with an 80mm upstand, extended both into the window recess and into the dresser unit itself, so the stone ties the two pieces of joinery together. At the sink, a Shaws of Darwen ceramic sink in white, a bowl and a half in the Brindle 600 style, is paired with an Abode Ludlow monobloc tap in antique brass, with a bin fitted into the sink base. Extraction is handled by a Hotpoint 60cm canopy hood, with the remainder of the appliances sourced by the client themselves.

The result is a rich, traditional kitchen built around a genuinely considered colour and a dresser that reads as real furniture, tied together by brass hardware and a stone worktop shared between both pieces.

Doors & Panels:

Egger 18mm MFC in Light Winchester Oak, 2mm colour matched ABS edging, 150mm plinth. Blum Onyx soft close hinges, Blum LegraBox soft close drawers in Lava Grey. Switched lighting to larder and dresser interiors. Spice pull outs, corner pull outs, spice racks to larder doors, oak cutlery trays.

Worktop:
Duke Stone Lamorna quartz (CS112), 20mm, 80mm upstand, back panel behind hob to under wall units, extended into the window and into the dresser unit.

Sink & Tap:
Shaws of Darwen ceramic sink, white, bowl and a half, Brindle 600. Abode AT1216 Ludlow monobloc tap, antique brass.

Appliances:
Hotpoint 60cm canopy hood (PCT64FLSS). All other appliances customer supplied.
